Ive got a 12r, yeah!
hey guys just bought a 2000 12, in green, i always wanted a green one! hasnt come yet but cant wait.
I've been cheackin out some full systems and hope you guys could point me in the right direction. Thinkin akrapovic, what kinda power gains will i get with a power commander too.

13-17 peak gain over stock. Closer to 25 horsepower over stock at redline. The stock 12R power falls badly after peak, before redline. Most good aftermarket exhausts like the Akra will hold peak power to redline, far after a stock exhaust bike has fallen on its face..

I have a yoshi Duplex full system+PC3r with custom map+BMC filters + Iridium spark plugs. I gained 16hp over stock bike. I will gon now for a 17tooth sprocket :

i have muzzy full ti system,muzzy cam spockets,muzzys blue stacks,muzzys advancer,muzzys block off plates,knn filter.pc3
but if i were to choose again...i will go for..akra evo,ape cam spocket and advancer.,bear short stacks...bmc race ..keenair mod+crank case vacum mod.pc usb

Of Course since my 2000 Green ZX12R made 183.1 and 101 in Torque with a Hindle StepTube (Or Brock Street Smart) for a lot less money than the Akra and was 2 dbs Quieter than the Akra, I think for the Money there is Better to be had! Now as far as "LOOKS" go for the "Visible HP", Nothing is better than the Akrapovich or even the Arata! Those Beautiful Welds must be worth at least 10 HP In looks alone

...and my 1287 ('00 green) made 184, 182, 195 and 206rwhp.
The better to be had, depends on how happy that particular dyno is

cheers guys, think im going for the akra evo, been reading up and it sounds like a top system. i'm impressed at how much extra hp is to be gained and look forward to getting mine on a dyno. get my bike on saturday, i cant wait to take her for my first ride. jumped from a cbr 600 so i'll be feathering the throttle which i can imagine is like a bomb if you just cracked it back.

USUALLY More to do with SAE, STD and Uncorrected! Mine was on 3 different Dynos and all in SAE! One Dyno where Bergie saw it and a friend with a 1270 only made 180 SAE HP!

was that 1270's 180SAE pull done on the same day, back to back with your incredible 183.1???

Exactly, like my 1287 making such widely varied hp "numbers". Different dynos, different days.
Heh, my old stock 12R, with a drilled out stock pipe/can made bigger "numbers" than it did with a full Akro and custom SMTW map... yet consistently ran 3-4mph faster through te 1/4 mile. On the SAME dyno... on different days
