Rode a 954 today

Hmm, what can I say, it's a nice bike. I didn't get to wind on it too hard since it's just outta the crate and I was only build and prep. It seems very rider friendly, something I'd *almost* feel comfortable turning a beginner loose on. It seems like it would be very easy to ride fast, which to me is almost it's downfall. I like a bike more like the Duc or Aprilia (or even a nicely setup 12) that takes some "special" riding and rider input to get the response and performance out of it. The type of bikes that don't feel like your mom can get on it and ride it to the store for a gallon of milk and a stick of butter.

The Honda is very smooth though, great job on the injection. It feels (and sounds) almost electric. When I first sat on it I thought Corbin would make a killing selling seats for that bike but once I was rollin it wasn't that bad. The engine felt somewhat like the 12 in that there was that "something lurking in there" feeling under your right wrist (get your minds outta the gutter fellas ). I can't honestly say if the feeling turned out to be bullshit as I didn't get to beat on the bike too hard but these are the initial impressions of the new Honda 954 in case any of ya'll wanted to know....

Ya know...

It's cool riding different bikes. I will ride just about anything, anytime.

Dang...all I've ever ridden have been just the Ninjas I've boughten throughout my life, makeing my 12 the third one to date.

Unless you count some Honda dirtbikes and Honda quads, which were nice when I had them.

CVC...

If you don't quit it, you are going to talk yourself right on in to buying that Aprilia thing.

That nice, huh?

A riding buddy just bought a 954. He has never in his riding life complained of a sore ass. After an hour on the 954 he was complaining about that torture device Honda put on instead of a seat!
