Hi...

Hi,

I'm new to this forum..., just recently find this forum and I ve reading it for a couple of days. I'm from Portugal and I own a Zx12r from 2000 with BMC + Iridium sparkplugs + Full yoshi RS-3 Duplex + PC3r with custom map. I changed from the stock bike , to this setup and Wooww I have a new bike eheh...

But I still have some doubts about Ignition advance..., Ive been reading and it still not very clarified to me. It seems that we should increase the advance as the rpm's increases with a proper A/F ratio, correct?

Im thinking in in change my ignition map from all +3 to :

- 3.000 to 5.000 +3
- 5.500 to 7.000 +4
- 7.500 to 10.000 +5
- 10.500 to 11.500 +2

And enrich a litle like +2 on the +5ig... , what do you think?

many thanks

Thanks Doug But Im a rookie on this matter.

I really donno what is better..., high advance on higher or low rpm's!? . I read that more engine speed more advance due the lack of time to burn the fuel..., but I read to that could be also a prob could cause resistence to the piston and loose hp at top end. So..., Im a little confused. And I know the better thing is go to Dyno to test eheh..., but its a little expensive and I would test it with the ButtDyno. I would Like your opinions about it if possible
