The ongoing Maverick saga...
Maverick is still alive over on Easy's site. He is also attempting to sell his Silver 12 after his bike , according to him, was the target of a female terrorist. His bike was knocked over doing some damage and even though he did not see the attack, he knew that only a woman would do something like that 
So, instead of fixing the bike Maverick has spent the insurance check and is attempting to sell the 12 "as is".
There is no doubt in my mind that Maverick is one of a kind..

Some question whether there ever really was a real "Maverick." Lots of reasons to believe he was a pose. Maybe we should declare an amnesty period during which anyone who has pulled off a pose over the past year can fess up without fear of scorn or ridicule. I actually admire those who can put on an entertaining facade.

Speaking of missing has anyone heard from Cody aka MTninjaholic (I think that was his name). He is a cool guy and had some really interesting pics one including a chair that was getting molested. Don't forget the crack pipe!!!!

Hey, what happened to the original Maverick? The little asian guy who's first bike was the 12! He was very entertaining.

on a side note... the avg user can figure out that he is Maverick by simply reading his threads: http://www.bikeland.org/board/viewthread.php?FID=1&TID=257 .. in this thread he responds to the name Maverick... if you click on the properties of the photos, they are hosted in Mavericks photo album....
is this really that big a deal?

sheeesh! I try to make a clear, simple statement confirming member's questions and I am pegged on one side as having a lack of manners, and not being cordial, having my ass in a knot, and on the other side arrogant! Well fine!
Pardon me for being to the point! I suppose that I could have drawn out the answer to who is Maverick in 20 posts full of misc blah blah blah... but I didnt.
I was concise and to the point.
Wouldnt you rather have that than have me yank yer chains fer 20 pages of useless dialogue?

having just returned from my supersecretsquirrelmission in the land of euro-scooters, I kinda' experienced the same kind of "to-the-point-ness" and at first, I thought it was rude...lemme' 'splain...I went to use the restroom at a mcdonald's in prague(czech republic)and upon my completion of feeding the fish, my exit was BLOCKED by a chunky and somewhat muscular old woman all dressed in a hollywood-typical eastern-bloc-type gray smock and maroon shawl...she friggin' blocked my path and just pointed at a sign over the doorway that more or less stated that I needed to pay for using the bathroom (I didn't know that it was just the way they did business there)...there was no talkin'...just a stern face and a finger pointing to the sign telling me to just pay!!!..."Damn!", I thought...I should've left one of my patented porcelin(sp)etching dumps with a rude attitude like that!...and I'm thinking, "I can take this bulldog...", but being the gentleman that I am and not wanting to be the ugly American in a beautiful city, I flipped a coin into the dish...so what does this have to do with fish's way of stating a fact...actually, not much...but fish was to the point (though the "sheesh" may have made him sound impatient to some...so what's new?)...and so (its) just the way (it) is...jus'like my little interface with little miss battleship...oh, I forgot to mention...there are no free re-fills and you have to pay for the ketchup!!!!...we have it good here...
