preventative stuff

Since you were all so helpful with my last thread I'll pick your brains again. I actually have a road racing Sidecar with the ZX12R motor, a PC USB and have got 196 rear wheel horsepower from it . We have set up a DRY sump on it to get around the oiling problems we create when cutting the sump so we can get the engine lower. I do various checks between meetings ( valve clearances leak down) and after 1500 races Kilometers I pulled the engine down, I found the rings were suspect ( not suprising we we don't run an air filter ) the main bearings , namely the outside ones ( 1 and 5 were visibly worn , every thing else was pretty good. A question has any one had problems in the engine or gearbox that I should keep an extra eye on for example on our old ZZR1100 we had to look out for valves stretching

Thanks again Chris
