Total length 2.1 miles...we use about 1.7 miles for flyers.

There was a tailwind that day for parts of the run which switched to a gusting cross wind down track..so much so, that some people decided they didn't want to run, alot of people were backing off the throttle before the timing gear..

Out of a class of 30 bikes same class (class2) as mine 10 went over 200mph..12r's and bus's, 20 didn't make the magic number..

Best bog stock bike, class 1, did 198.7 zzr14..

Class 3 which is bigbores, cams, etc out of a field of 18 bikes 8 went over 200mph.

It's an MRA its an excellent fit, and gives good protection. mates got a Puig, looks equally good and performs well...it was a toss up between the two..I like the profile of the MRA

Will probably go with a standard screen this year, if I can get a modified tank sorted.

desristrictor is a G-pack..

Theres so many variables to a good run...I must of done atleast 4-5 sprocket changes last meet front & back...Gearing is the Key to good speeds with a stock motor imho

haha... after having a meltdown and an incendiary incident with my 1287 nitrous bike I was actually at the far end doing the timing.

It was like a hurricane I could hardly stand up at the far end and we had to weight the timing tripods down with car batteries to stop them blowing over!

Seth did well, as he says towards the end of the day people started bottling it and eventually we called it a day for safety reasons as the wind shifted.

Of the Class 2 Twelves out there Seth and a guy called Paul H did best with about a 4mph lift on what we know Paul has done many times before. Seth's best sounding run didn't register, but the other timer and I agreed it sounded awesome as he went past on full chat with a decent tuck.

Mike Grainger's stroked 12 we all know about he's been knocking out high 200's and the odd 210+ for the last few years, he also had about a 5mph lift.

It was a windy day... problem is now people will struggle to match these speed/their PB's unless there's another hurricane :-)

Otherwise the best prep'd none engine worked 12's are still floating at the 199-201 mark over here.

Do you realize how much HP you need to go from 200 mph to 203 mph? A lot more than a set of stacks can provide.

About 3bhp per additional mph over 200mph approx and up to a point.

There are bikes that run here with 3,4,5 & 600bhp highest speed yet is 275mph lying dutchman..

Speeds for the others range from 220mph to 250mph

I have to agree with Y2K on this one. I seriously doubt anyone picked up 3mph just by intsalling a set of stacks.

I don't know how much power the bike had before the stacks but for the this discussion lets say it had 200hp. That is a nice round number. To go from 200mph to 203mph you would need to gain 9.14hp for a total of 209.14hp. I don't think anyone is going to pick up 9.14hp just by bolting in a set of stacks.

Who has said stacks added any HP to account for the speeds?

To be honest I don't know what the stacks are worth hp or mph wise..they are shorter than bear's or muzzys.

Are you saying that the speeds recorded at our JD9 are wrong?

Nope, not at all the speed at JD9 were all bang on and correct, if you look back and cross reference bikes with their previous performances, or even the performances on the day before they are all correct. What I'm highlighting is the conditions on the day in question... they were exceptional and those that had the balls to ride them did some excellent speeds - that will be very hard to repeat.

However for the benefit of credibility you have to mention the conditions.

If we'd have had some Americans coming on to 200mph.org last year, reeling of 205mph speeds for a Class Two 12r or Busa we'd have raised the bullshit flag...

JD9 was a exceptional day, I only wish I had run.
