Be careful when dealing with TURBOBLEW!

Lets rewind back to Jan-18-06. That was the day I won the ebay auction for a pair of Dymag Magnesium wheels for my zx12 (complete with EVERYTHING) I needed to mount these to my bike. Seller assured me that these were off of an 00 zx12 so I was pretty excited. He recieved the money and shortly thereafter I received the wheels.

Problem: NO wheel spacers were included! After contacting Steve and letting him know he said he would see to it I got the spacers. I stressed to him over and over that I needed everything squared away pretty soon as I wanted to use these for Maxton 4/1/06.

Well, never got the spacers as there is only 1 distributor for the wheels in the states. Eh, it happens, I was bummed but he was cool enough to drive all the way to Maxton to

Loan me his extended ecu
Lightweight wheels w/tires
Give me a hand in the pits w/tools and physical work.

All while he was extremely sleep deprived. The sprocket on his wheels were too big for my chain but it was the thought that counted. He went out of his way to help . That spoke volumes and I was appreciative of it.

But months went by....I was sweating it because I had quite a bit of money in a mod I couldn't use. Obviously over $1000 could get anyone's bike much quicker but I was temporarily frozen because my money was tied up.

KEPT emailing, kept PMing....about 1 response for every 5 times I made an effort Summer rolls around, no spacers, no word. I am calling the distributors, calling Dymag, emailing, getting conflicting stories about the wheels and their proper application.

September comes around...wanted to use them @ Bonneville but rolled out w/stockers because I still had no spacers. On top of all that I realize later these wheels have a 5 bolt pattern for the rear rotor, zx12s are 4 bolt .

Maxton rolls around in October, I'm still on stockers. Steve replies to one of my emails or PMs and says he didn't know I was STILL having problems (no spacers, etc.) and said he would contact Steve @ Dymag. That was 1 month ago.

I have repeatedly told me to at least keep the lines of communications open. I told him I didn't want these wheels anymore. I even rolled thru to FLORIDA in NOVEMBER and DECEMBER and offered to drop them off to him in person so as to save both of us time and $ in shipping. No response. I have told him to at least keep me in the loop and that if I don't hear anything I'd resort to legal action.

Steve, if you are reading this, you know, just like anyone reading this that an entire year going by w/out resolution is unacceptable any way you look at. Coincidentally I had someone tell me that this isn't the first time they heard about something like this from you (either w/these wheels or some other pair). See you in court.

To anyone else reading this who may know him just be careful when dealing w/this guy. I sincerely thought this was a good guy (hell he rolled up to Maxton to try and make things right). But I have the same wheels sitting here for 1 year and can't use them. I don't know ONE person who would have been this patient.

Had them for sale until a potential buyer notified me about the rotor holes not being right!!!! So I have paused the sale of those wheels until I get this issue resolved somehow, its only fair to any potential buyer!

I posted this on suzhay.org but after a day they have apparently removed my post!

In my experience he's a straight-up guy, and I've done many transactions with him.

ps - you don't need fancy wheels to go fast the stockers work just fine.

Man, I was supposted to buy those wheels from him a long time ago . Got tired of waiting on him so ended up buying some marchasini's from another guy. After I told him he got a litle postal on me and tried to make another deal on a gas tank we made long before the wheels go south. Thats ok , I lived and learned. You will, or did. Sorry for your luck it sucks. I hope everything get resolved for you. My opinion is he is a great guy with a little too much going on for such a short memory.

i know it isnt the point and probably non of my business but wouldnt it be easier and not too expensive to get an engineering shop to make up some wheel spacers?

It is possible but who is to pay for that? Am I to shell out an additional $200+??? And how about a rotor as well?

These were advertised as zx12 wheels, they seem to be zx7 wheels that "CAN" fit on a ZX12 with the proper equipment which I don't have.

I Spoke to TB Today. As we all know there are 3 sides to everything and I am going to try to put in the 3rd side. Everything from TB's SIde is very much like Ship's Story read. The Only differences are, TB SHipped the Matching Rotors for the Wheels and because he found 1 wheel bearing that did not feel right packed in the Box a set of rear wheel bearings and the Spacers. The Front wheel used the Stock spacers so we are now talking about the Rear Wheel SPacers.

No one knows what happened to the package with the Wheel Spacers and bearings. They may have been thrown out when the WHeel was pulled ouf of the Box. They may have come out of the box during shipping. The point on both sides is they were Sent and they were not received.

Steve called Dymag and ordered another set of Wheel bearings and paid for them which no one ever received. He tried this twice and thought the last time using PayPal he was successful because he did not hear from Ship for several months between about May to October but then heard from him that he was still waiting for the Spacers.

To resolve this He will give me the part numbers and I will see if I can get the spacers from Dymag and hand them to Ship. Hopefully I can get this done in 30 days or less if this is OK with you Ali?

VH: Although the idea of waiting another month is quite irritating (because I know it may end being OVER one month, no diss to you, I just now how Dymag "rolls"...pardon the pun).

Nevertheless that works for me PROVIDED I get a rotor in this transaction too. VH: I swear to you I NEVER EVER EVER got spacers OR a ROTOR! No where on the auction was the mention of me NEEDING a ROTOR EVER EVEN MENTIONED or NO WHERE IN ANY OF OUR DIALOGUE UP UNTIL DECEMBER 06/JAN 07! I will PM you the auction number if you like and you can see for yourself.

VH I apprecicate you trying to alleviate the issue, I just want to make sure that I don't sit here for another 2 months with no rotor, no spacers, ya know? It would be like adding salt to the wound.

To show I am not being unreasonable I will even be willing to wait till the end of Feb giving you another 1-2 weeks. THANKS A LOT for trying to fix the situation between TB & I.

Sorry late reply, but i haven't been on much lately...

I was gonna say, I think the spacers are the same? When I got my Dymags "Sports Magnesium" wheels way back in 00', I noted I could have used either set of spacers (stock or Dymag.) The Dymag spacers were polished & looked better. So I used them...

I've still got the stockers....

At least you didn't spend $1500 for a non-matching set of rims....from a manufacturer who refused to make them right.

Shane, I feel ya....get the cush drive sorted out for TX mang! Worst case we have tons of sprockets for an OEM rear, rock the aftermarket front....it ain't no fashion show! But they should have made it right....

Doc: I'm waiting on VH to give this a shot...he's mediating between TB & I and trying to straighten things out ... fingers crossed.
