Best way to get rid of those luggage knobs? Whats the best way to get rid of those knobs to tie down stuff on the rear of the 12? Unscrew them out and leave it at that, or should you replace them with something more cosmetically appealing?

Use the screws for the helmet holder cables. They work perfect. You can't leave them out. They help hold the tail sectiom on.

The round aluminium (painted black) plugs from your lower front fairing (with allen/cap screws in the centre) fit perfectly with longer allen/cap screws.

The helmet holder bolts are significantly cheaper than $50. And they look factory for what it worth.

I used a set of fairing bolts from another model Kawi. Ended up identical to the helmet lock bolts except they are available in black.

Candy Persimmon Red may be slower, but I'm trying!
What year is that bike in the picture? I thought the 12 was only realeased in the blue color for the 02 models, but the front air intake looks like a 00 or 01 model. Just curious.

There are only two screws for the helmet holder cables. Guess I'll leave them on because they remind me of the Roman spikes on Chariots .

I was going to get some screws like the ones that are for the helmet locks, but the good ole $50 factory service manual doesnt have part numbers, just beautifully exploded detailed diagrams.
So does anyone have the part number for that? I think, but am not sure, but is it part number:

That part number worked great! Ordered them, they finally came in today and I couldnt be happier. I highly recommend them to anyone who hasnt done them yet.
The only thing about Ron Ayers, is hell yeah he is the cheapest, but for small orders like 4 screws, I had to pay $7 in shipping charges since he only uses UPS for shipping. The Post Office would have been hella cheaper on such a small order, weighing less then half a pound. And it took three weeks from the time I submitted my order to get the package. It could have been quicker, shipping charges could be better on smaller orders, but the price on the parts were the absolute best!
