Dumb helmet locks on the 12

Is it just me or does anyone else think the helmet locks on the 12 are just not worth it? Are there any ways to add a helmet lock to a moto?

I think so too. I always tote my helmet anywhere I go, anyway. Better to lug it that have some lil crumbsnatcher rubbing his greasy hands on it while I'm in the store!

They do make those little extenders to make the whole process easier. Can't remember where I saw them but it was in one of the big parts catalogs. I have gotten used to my helmet locks but at first I didn't even think they would work. Damn short cables, eh?

I used a lock from my old KZ700 and it bolted right where the rear reflector was on the left side. They are really easy to take apart and move the tumblers around to match your key. I'll try posting pics soon!

That's the best thing I've seen yet. What do I ask for at the hardware store to get that kind of cable you are using?
