Smart PC-IIIR guys please

Well,

With winter fast approaching, I finally decided to bite the bullet an upgrade the exhaust/PCIIIR. I need a good starting point map. I am hoping to start out with a good map that works for someone (with the Crandall "Super-Smooth" fine-tuning) with the following setup:

ACRO Pipe (Mine is a Hindle, but the dimendions aren't very far off)
K & N filters
Block Off Plates
PCIIIR

Could one of you studs who have this type setup and the Crandall upgrades please hook me up? I would greatly appreciate it. I plan on using the "butt-dyno" as my primary means of tuning, but I may go to a real Dyno at some point. I really don't care to re-invent the wheel on this one. Please email the map to me at:

timmy_larsen@yahoo.com

PS- I would love to hear some pointers/lessons learned on PCIIIR installation.

Thanks in Advance,

Tim

The Million Dollar Question

Now this one will take a REAL ZX-12R Expert. Maybe Muzzy??
I saw on the maps available for the PCIIIR that there are a couple for euro-spec 12Rs..... OK.... Mine is a 2000 euro- spec 12R. My questions are these:

What is the friggin differance(s) between euro and US ? (No guessers please)

Will the US Spec maps work OK? (I will try to see if they work... just want to get informed ahead of time)

Im going to dig thru my manual to see if it gives any details.

I can just use the Muzzy Euro Spec map for Akro and fine tune it to my Hindle, but I would like to use/try some of the great maps that you guys have worked out.

I would still like some pointers on PCIIIR installation, specifically, anything the manual didn't cover well... or lessons learned.

Danka,

Tim

Really!!

The PCIII installation is very easy.... I don't think that you will have a problem...

I thought the installation of the box was pretty straightforward although the software provided leaves a lot to be desired, IMO. Make sure the maps you import keep their map file title or the software won't be able to find them. I messed around and renamed an imported map to be more recognizable and then the computer couldn't find it. Drove me nuts til I figured it out. Ken

A few posts have mentioned "pinched harness" as a potential problem.

Using the compare feature, it should be pretty easy to see what the differences are between the two maps. Remember to first save the existing map on your PC IIIr before uploading any new map, of course!
