I like alpinestars smx plus. I also have smx-r and gp the older gp are most comfortable
but I have to say that the smx plus are the most track worthy.

Thats why I bought all my leathers so I can start hitting the track without getting kicked off, for going over 120mph without leather pants, I have a joe rocket leather jacket and gloves with alpinstars pants.

I just got these boots
http://www.alpinestars.com/moto/boots_supertech.html

Pretty slick and I love the protection they provide. Not fun to walk around in though.

I bought these back in 1985 for $100 double lined boot and triple lined around the front...Best boots I own, that's why I take care of them!!!...Notice the Vibram wedge sole that the local shoe maker did!!!

Now I have the Bates touring boot that I had customized for me to make them as close as possible to the boots above costing me $325...The Bates are the closest to what I like...The new style boots made now are too thick and dont fit under my leathers!!!

Turboblew has a good point....If your riding, but plan on walking around much, the track
worthy boots are not comfortable. That was why I kept my older gp alpinestars.

I have had several friends crash on their Sidi Boots (Vertebra) and walk away.
Worm_Hole crashed wearing them, two people had to pick his 12 up off him (myself and Fish_Antlers), and the Sidi letters popped off from being crushed under his bike, but his feet were fine.
I think he is still wearing them, ask him what he thinks about Sidi boots.

Sagot was the first person I knew to get them - he had seen people at the track crash wearing them, and that convinced him to buy them.

I think they only go up to size 13 though.
They do squeek when you walk around, and you don't notice it after awhile, but it is funny when a group of you are wearing Sidi's and are walking through the Mall to the foodcourt or the bathroom.

Buy what fits YOUR feets! Always try the boots before buying boots. Everybody have a little different legs... And if there is any rain in Your area buy ones with Core-Tex membrain, so Your feet stey dry... And don't buy any cheap substitutes for Core because even if the substitutes usually keep You dry but usually they don't breath enough. There are good substitutes but they are also pricey - Event - membrain for example...

Helimot has you trace your foot on a piece of paper and send it to them for proper fit. Size doesn't matter, they will make sure you have a proper fitting boot.
