Are all Stators and rotors/flywheels the same?
Just curious if all ZX-12 stators and rotors/flywheels were the same for all years?

No. 00-01 flywheels are the same and flywheels on the 02-newer bikes are the same.
They will interchange you just need a different puller to remove them.

Thanks Ryan, how is that beast running? Can't wait till March 24-25 for Texas Mile!!!!!
I thought they were different, but just thought the newer ones were smaller and would work if you had the stator, cover, and rotor/flywheel................But I think I found a 01 Stator..............But just wanted to make sure it would work.
Hope mine will be together by then. I should have my crank back by mid-late Jan.

TRN I think you can run any year rotor/stator /stator cover combo on any year crank as long as the stator/rotor/ and stator cover are the same year.. If I am wrong someone correct me.

OH Oh Tony another agreement! Dr. Gary remember how I said that Bear used the 02 Stator and Rotor because it was lighter on his 00 and it revved like a 2 stroke. Light Crank in the 00 and light Rotor in the 02 and you are lighter

Mr. Hill was it a direct bolt on, or was there need for machining? Just curious though, as I'll probably stick with the 00-01 set up since the awsome people on this board have pulled together for me with some extremely reasonable prices.............But I thought I did read something like that some where............... but sometimes I can just have a dream and think its reality too!

Yep. I forgot. zxlnt and Mr. Hill are right. They can be interchanged. You will just need a different puller for the 02-newer rotor compared to your 00.

And as you said both the Stator and Rotor!

For others referance, the plugs to the rectifier are a little different.....................but they might just splice up if you don't mind the look. What about the cover is that a little different as well or the same?
