I would expect less engine braking? Still not as light as the '00 Crank. Can't the '00 be swapped over?

if you think adout it the weight of the crank is a force again the compression so less weight on the crank mean a better job for the compression to break the rear wheel.

find out the weight of the 00 befor i think they 4 lbs less then a 2003 to 2005
i suggest to rebalance it only
a crank to light mean less help to lunch the monster, and you will have to make the clucht slipping

Actually compression is very low with the throttles closed. On a diesel thats another story.

The lighter the rotating mass is the less gyro effect and the less engine breaking because the lighter rotating mass will require less HP to spin up to a given speed. This also alows the engie to rev quicker while WOT for the same reasons.
It also improves the changing of direction of the bike while at high rpms due to less gyro.

It does reduce the stored kennetic energy available to launch the bike from the line in drag racing too.

No.sorry. I never weighed my 00 crank before or after stroking it.

But I did spin it up and check the balance on the stroker and it was right on the money.

just curious what the weight of a 2000 model crank was.

When I get my stroker back I''ll have to see about weighing it and posting.

Hey, How are you doing? I went with the standard 4.6mm over (60mm). Sorry, had to use my spare crank as my other one was toast. Are you looking at a 14 or sticking to your 12?
talk to Buddy on here as he has both and might give you some of his insight. you probably know him from the ShootOut.

the weight of 2004 was 25 lbs and now is 21lbs,, 23 lbs with the magnet on and it will go down probably 1/2 to 1 lbs .
and if you take your balancer out why keep the teeth on the gear
