Wierd noise...no power
Ok....out of the last month I have had this happen like 4 times! I hammer on the gas in 2nd gear (around 5000 RPM)for a wheelie and my bike sounds like it has no power (sort of the sound and feeling if you would dump a ton of gas into the engine all at once) or it feels like my snowmobile did right after I scored a piston....it has no power and almost vibrates! I then cut the throttle and try again and it works!...HMMMMMMMMMM...anyone else have this happen?? Any ideas?? Thanks for the help!

P.s....I do have a PCIIIR and a full muzzy pipe...that's it! I looked (not very intensely) for cuts in the cord going to the PCIIIR and didn't see any.

I've had mine do a similar thing when it was low on fuel.Doing a wheelie then all of a sudden , Slam - NUTS BE CRUNCHED!!!!! Painful memories.May or may not be your problem.

hope you didn't use any octane boost or anything, I fucked around and used that shit and got nice big carbon deposits on the back of the valves, it ran like shit

Once in a while when the bike is not warmed up all the way I get a burp at about 5000 then it catches and just takes off. Seems if I am on the road for more than 10-15 mins it wont happen.

Could be the map
is not right in that area. Remember if you are wacking the throttle at 5000 rpm, four 46 mm throttle bodies are opening and it just might be catching the engine off guard. Try looking at all the maps out there and see if yours is in the ball park. If it is, try richening first and see if that helps, if not or gets worse, lean it.
This is called trial & error- with more emphazise on error.
I find that anything less that TWO fuel bars lite, your are putting your Jewels and Johnson at risk!!! This is were the Ladies have it over Guys.

Thanks for the input guys! I can tell ya that this started happening at least 2,000-3,000 miles after installing my pipe and PCIIIR and current map so I am not sure about the mapping problem (but I will take a peek just in case). I never have added octane booster and I know the last time it did it, I had over 1/2 a tank. Most of the times it has done this exept for the last time, It was ran over 20 minutes+! I might have to check into the other idea (can't remember off the top of my head) that some one gave about a part going bad. Any other ideas?????????? Thanks for the help!

P.s....I feel for ya about the "Nut Cruncher"...I did it once on a wheelie gone bad but the worse one I ever had was from a stoppie that got to high....and I dropped the back end fast and took my feet off the pegs! I sat there for like 10 minutes while my riding buddies laughed their asses off!
