Tappet Depressor?

I'm building a 1375 motor and need to measure piston-to-valve clearance. Is there a tool equivalent to the Yoshimura Valve Lifter Tool (258-567-0040) that will work the the cam tower geometry of the ZX12? I really don't care for the clay method in a process as iterative and critical as this.

I assume you mean the Valve Tool, BPP-VTOOL2. Do you know if this tool will work out of the box, or will it require some 'tuning' on the belt sander?

Yeah, that's the problem I'm having. Without an exposed lobe on each cam like on the Suzuki and Honda cam tower setups, it's difficult to fit anything between the cam and the tappet. I emailed Brock and his response was that the tool could be modified to fit just about anything (except a CBR600RR, BTW). I'd rather just get something designed specifically for the ZX12.
