broke power commander for ridgeracer
he needs the connectors that are black and yellow that plug into the oem zx12r wire harness.good connectors on a bad bike harness would work also.

more specifically I need the male pins that fit into this connector shell
Also any info on who manufactures these plugs would be helpful.

Have you checked at the gm parts counter? the pins may be one of the various weatherpak connectors. gm parts sells replacements for all of the weatherpak connectors they use.

Ozzy's probably correct (although the parts guys probably don't even know what they have in stock). I would walk into a GM dealership, and ask to speak to the shop foreman. In the shop, GM dealers are supplied as an "essential tool" from Kent Moore, a series of boxes (I think they are up to 8 or 9 bins now) that have a crazy number of connector pins inside. I am willing to bet there is a connector that can be used in that plug somewhere in those boxes. Each item in the bins has a corresponding GM part number, so worst case you can take the number to the parts dept and pay for replacing those pins....best case is that the foreman lets you take them for free

Thanks for the info, I'll give it a try. I think I may actually have an inside guy at the local GM place too. Last I heard a former student of mine worked in the sales dept.

Hey ridge check out a company called "pico" or "digikey" or "techspan" as I have found them to make or sell tons of different plugs,pins and connector tools...

from what I have found out on the other connectors (which I am still trying to get samples) they are the AMP superseal series. they bought out the connector company who used to make them.

I don't think these are weatherpax connectors. On the weatherpax the round barrels push into the connector. On my connector the rounded ends are on the back.
I re read the TL suzuki site where they have been making home made 'Yosh Boxes' for two years. I looked at the pictures and it is the exact same plug.
After all this time they still haven't posted a source for the plug. Their solution as shown above was to just "[find] some proper flat pins" and cram them in the connector. You can get the shells from Kawasaki so if we can just find a 'proper flat pin' we will be in business.
So I'm going to find a similar connector on the harness and see if I can measure its pin and then see if I can find something in the ballpark on DigiKey

RR ,I have a PC that got the plastic backing busted off when I totaled my '00. It prob still works, but I will cut off the plugs, and send them to you if you need 'em. I have another good PC, so I could just solder the connectors from that one, if it goes south.
It would be a pleasure to help you out, after spongin' all this tasty info from ya....

Why don't you hold off before you cut anything. I'm going to go check out my friends 12r which has a PC on it and I'll double check and make sure the plugs match. Most of you guys seem pretty sure its the same plug but it won't hurt to double check it.

Just an FYI: the boxes that I'm talking about at the GM dealers do not just contain weather pack connectors. In fact, cars like the Vibe, Cobalt and Optra use (from what I remember) the Japanese style of connectors. The newest of connectors came in the clear boxes, not the red boxes that the original weatherpack kits had.....

I happen to own an entire pin extraction/crimping kit with the "good" (ratcheting) Amp crimper... also have a wide selection of CPC (M/F) and pins & sleeves as well... If you get the correct crimpers and extractors you should be able to rebuild the stock connectors...worst case scenario you could chomp off the stock connectors and build your own using CPCs.

There is a small arrow, I think its an index for pin 1 and on the opposite side it says
1-2
The yellow Insert has the same arrow and says
1-3
I checked out the links you posted and there were some that were close. Especially the ones that had a yellow insert. But that series was called something -II like it was a second generation.
Maybe this is an obsolete plug. I tried to check the part number across model years on the Kawi parts diagram site and while they call out the plug in the diagram there is no corresponding number in the parts list on bikes after 2003.
