02 ZX12R RUN IN
HI, ANY ONE RUN IN AN 02 ZX12R? HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THERE BIKE AND WHAT IS THE TOP END MPH OF IT ?

Top is limited to 186 and I have had 0 problems.

No problems..only 550 miles though, Who needs to go faster than 186 anyway?

Josh, I don't have a GPS, so I don't know if I've actually gone faster than 186, but I want to do better than 200. And it it takes another year or two to do so, I still intend to do it.

I understand...Obviously there is no need to go that fast on a regular basis though. hmmm.All it takes is that cute little box........I don't want to die young

hey ya'll I got mine when it came out in Feb. i have 5600 miles on it, have replaced the tires, adn had it serviced. My only complaint with this bike is that I keep losing body screws and bolts. even had a subframe bolt fall out. but other than that its perfect. I have seen 190 on the speedo, and have heard that the revlimiter kicks in at 186 mph, but is only turning 11000 rpm when it does. I know the bike will turn 12200 in the first 5 gears before it hit the limiter. This tells me that the bike is hella faster than the factory is letting it be. Question for everyone, has anyone had clutch problems on the 02 model? I have a buddy with a 00 model and he has replaced the clutchs twice, and in the same time I haent even had to adjust mine.. we spend the same amont of time on the track, aand have similar riding styles???? Any input?

My '02 speedo read about 5% too high. If yours is the same your 190 may only have been around 180. I had the bike on a dyno this weekend and ran it past a real 190 with the Muzzy box on it. The tach was also reading 12,300 when the dyno was reporting the limit cutoff at 11,400.
