Hey Rick!!
Your buddy Bandit has come to the Cycle World site talking about the Boss. He made mention of your race. Here is what he had to say, this is a copy and paste, so the spelling is his.
There was a race where they ran modded Kawasaki 12R with pipe, Ing.,strapped front so the front end would not wheelie, no kick stang, ect... that they trailerd in to run a show room display Boss Hoss with 40 miles on it with the stock tire....The 12R did pull "that" bike.
They will not do a rematch with a apples to apples Boss Hoss bike.

My reply to Bandit
This is what I wrote back to Bandit, we can't swear on that site, so I couldn't say; Shit.
Bandit, You forgot to mention the rider of the ZX-12 weighed close to 300 lbs. His pipe was not an after market pipe, he just did some work on his stock pipe.
It was also the 502 Hoss he raced. He strapped his front end down trying to keep it from pulling the wheel and you guys wanted to go from a 50 mph roll to keep from spinning. You also put extra weight over the back tire to stop it from spinning. (Monty)
There was never a problem with the race, until one of you guys got the race printed up in Barnett's and turned everything around, claiming you smoked the ZX-12.
If Rick didn't have the video of the race, you would have gotten away with that lie. Rick is just an average guy that rides his bike everyday on the street. He took on the Boss Hoss Factory and won against the baddest bikes you had. Now a year later you have something to beat Ninjaman. What do you call it, The Ninjaman Special??
You added NOS to a 350 V-8 chevy powered bike and still don't dare go to the track and take on a fast ZX-12 or Busa. ZX-12 Girl said, She would race you. Her and her husband live in Battle Creek Michigan. Take you butt up there and race her. She will whip you with her ZX-12, then her husbands Busa. That will be apples to apples!

Those guys will never learn man. No kick stand???? Man the lies just keep on coming don't they. Thanks for defending me though, we all know what time it is. If it weren't for the fact that they are all a bunch of sore losers and liars I'd go wax that 502 again, but as I've said a zillion times, why waste time and gas only to hear more lies and excuses. This Bandit guy and me went a few rounds on the darkside and he's real hung up on this deal. He needs to get over it. Like I said, you win some you lose some. That day they lost to an average MF like me that weighs 100lbs. more than most guys that race. My article will be out in Barnett's Magazine on May 28th, that will really get them steaming I guess.

I'm not going to get into another pissing match with you small time players. Bottom line, Ninjaman came to a race with a modded bike that he admited later, would burn a stock bike of the same type. That is not a stock to stock race....or is it in your eyes? You could not get him to re-run a fair race if you held a gun to his head. I tryed. If "you" are making a offer, keep talking, otherwise sitback.
There is no honor in nonfair competition...well, maybe in your camp....Nuff said....

The Boss Hoss 350 is your stock bike, the 502 was your modded bike right from the factory. Rick beat both at the race you wanted.
The changes he made to his bike didn't make more then 10 hp over stock and his weight offset that.
Muzzy ran a stock ZX-12 192.3 mph and the times in the magazines for the stock ZX-12's are in the 9.90's in the 1/4 mile. I can't seem to find the times of your $ 30,000+ stock bike in the mags.
You want me to make you an offer?? Well here it is, Ninjaman and several of us are going to Deals Gap thursday and riding the weekend. Bring your Boss Hoss and show us "small time players" how its done in the real world. Your bike will go around a curve, won't it?

Damn Rick, I remember seeing pictures of that day!!! How the hell did you do that??? I saw your bike on what I thought was a kickstand!!! Or was it standing all by it's self???
If I raced him he would cry....weight advantange!!! If someone else raced him...he'd say motorwork, mod's, blah! blah! blah!...excuses...excuses!!!
I thought this guy seemed kind of cool when it all went down. Rick said that they had a good time!! What a freaking weasel ass...I bet he wouldn't talk shit if Ninjaman's 300lb ass was standing in front of him!!!!!!!!!
Too bad!! a loss is a loss...period!! AND THE BOSS HOSS LOST!! PERIOD!!

i love it!
I love it when someone actually makes an intelligent argument that really can't be denied. It somehow strikes a chord with the boss hoss guys and they are forced to rebutt with cuss words and name calling.
I really got a kick out him saying to "re-read your cycle magazines to see all the performance parts."
Its more like the boss hoss guys should go re-read some of their old car and driver mags to find some parts to upgrade their engines because they obviously need something to beat the ninjas!
maybe they could hook up gramma's old electric waffle maker into the inside of their rims to keep their PHAT arsed backtire heated up so they dont have to load up 50lbs of home and garden mags onto the backseat for traction.

I didn't think anyone wanted to read all the crap in that 4 page thread, so I didn't put up the thread address. I see You went to the trouble of finding it in the American section of the forum and posting it. Sorry, I guess I should have done it. I liked your reply, wish you would have posted it there.
I am not trying to stir up any new shit over there about the race. But Bandit is trying to make it look like the ZX-12 crowd had a full blown drag bike to race their stock Boss Hoss.
I am just trying to get the truth out there. I posted the results of Ninjaman's race within a day or so after it happened. I also posted all the good things Rick said about Monty and the Boss Hoss. Hacksaw mentioned that in one of his posts in that thread, he still remembered it.
I looked at Rick's bike at Deals Gap 2 and it didn't look to me to have a full Muzzy pipe. I thought his stock system was modified and he just had the Muzzy can instead of the stock one. Rick, maybe you could clear that up for me, what were you running the day of the race?
I read Bandits reply to Redelk. He didn't mention meeting anyone at the Gap.

My bike was stock with the exception of a Muzzy Bolt-On and a Muzzy Timing Advancer, and I did lower it. All this was discussed between Monte and I way before race day ever came. It wasn't as if I tricked the guys with anything. They have slung so much shit about this whole deal it's funny. They are really clueless when it comes to a "real" high performance motorcycle. They were all nice to me that day, but it is obvious that they have had no problem stabbing me in the back ever since that day. All this smack they talk is amusing to me. I posted my e-mail address on the boards at one time so Bandit and some dipshit whose handle was "Realfast" could contact me. Didn't happen though. I didn't care to have another race, but was wanting them to get in touch with me so we could "chat" via telephone, or if possible meet in person. I stated that in my post, along with the fact that I'd say the same thing to them in person as I would on any of the boards. No shame in my game , I went out and actually did some racing. To my knowledge all these guys have done is stirred up a bunch of shit, and for what???? The Barnett's article will be out here in a couple of weeks. The real crying will begin then. Even though I don't 100% agree with a few comments Mark Barnett put in his editors notes, by and large it is a pretty fair assessment of what happened. The main comment I disagree with is that he states that on the one run when they were 2-up on the boss hoss and I only beat them by a few bike lengths put the BH in the elite category of japanese sportbikes. But then again he does state that the 502 bike is not designed for WOT in the overdrive gear. Pretty fair, and I will take a lump or 2 so that the story can reach the masses.
