Blue Ridge PKWY Heads up-rockslide warning.
This is from a guy in Ashville on the ZRX board.
TWO Riders Heads Up
Hi All,
Don't know if many of you are going to be riding the Blue Ridge Parkway, but there has been a large rock slide at mile marker 400. It may be closed for several weeks. The parkway is closed at route 191 in Asheville NC going west towards Waynesville. It is not a huge problem as detours can be had on 215 or 276. But it may mess you up if you were expecting to gas up at Mt Pisgah while you were heading west. A word to the wise. Ride safe all. Hope to see you around that weekend. JacksonH

I thought YOU were in charge of pickin' the routes! Seriously, to the best of my knowledge, there isn't anyone (as of yet) picking our routes! DON'T look at me! I'm the one who gets folks lost!

The post said it was blocked at Asheville. So it shouldn't really hurt the ride to the French Quarter since it is in Asheville anyway. We may have to get off an exit or two early and ride through town or something...no problem. Somebody should have a map of the area so we can figure out how to detour.
