Fairing Lowers & Top Speed

I have read conflicting stories on whether lowers affect your top speed. Anyone here run top end without them, as a comparison?

I normally run without mine. However with Maxton approaching, I am looking for some input.

The 12 cools better at speed with the lowers on. The cooling benefit in conjunction with helping the air go around the rider should promote you to use them.

I lost 23 mph back to back without bodywork forward of the rider on my ZX12R at Maxton.
I suspect with just the upper in place, you might get 10 of that back, MAYBE.

Best of luck.
