Looking for paint color name??
What is the name and the year that Kawasaki had the "Plum or Maroon Metallic Black" color? It looks black until you get close and then you can see that it is actually a color of metalic maroon.
I have been to color rite web site, but I cant' exactly tell the right one by the computer screen. Thanks

If you are talking about a ZX-12R color 2003 was the year. The color was called Cosmic splendor red I think. Not 100 percent sure but I think so.

when I bought my Color-Rite touch up pens, the purple was "Purple-Mica" or something like that...I'll have to go out and recheck the label...

I have a 2003 Cosmic Splendor Red ZX12R.That is the name of the color you are thinking of.

i think you're talking about the PMB...the pearl mystic black.....or is it something else...no no i think its PMB alright

purple mica was a color they had on the zx-9
i had 2 a 96 then a 00

Pearl Mystic Black is the color of the '02 ZX12.It looks black but in the sun its the nice dark metallic blue color,I preferred that color to my '03 which is Cosmic Splendor Red,it looks black until you see in the sun light then you can see the metallic maroon that Ra mentions.Both nice colors if you ask me.

ahaa....i always got confused between the two colours.....not too many 12r's here in india....infact i haven't seen any except mine in the radius of 250 miles...and only 3 in a 600 mi radius...lolz
