Vince and your Brock pipe
Hey Vince I just noticed on your brock pipe that you had it raised about 1" or so in the back... were there any side effects. or did everything move up just fine?
Thanks...

IT is closer to 1 3/4 inches (!.70 Inches) ALL I had to do was adjust the Rear Brake lever UP a little so that my foot stays off the PIPE

Mike,
I raised mine also, simply unbolted the pipe from the bracket, pulled it up and drilled a higher hole in the bracket. Grind the extra bracket material off and WaaLa.
BUT,
BUT,
BUT!
It's not the meg that is the clearance problem, its the lower tube of the 2:1 right after it makes the curve.
I thought the meg was dragging in rh turns. Nope, it was the 2:1. Wore a hole right thru it.
Now I have a sacrificial 1/8" piece of aluminum which is hose clamped to that section.

If i had to do it again, i would leave the meg low. When it drags its a warning sign, BUT you are prolly not dragging the 2:1 yet.
The 2:1 pipe is VERY thin, i ground a hole in mine from just one r hander...
I love Brocks stuff, and he might think about making gen 2 of the ZX12 SW with a slight upsweep of the 2:1 (like Muzzy's).

I have also looked at Both Issues. WIth the Bike being LOW and the Meg Lower Yet on Accell I felt it was possible for the Meg to Drag (Specially if the bike got a little sideways.
Or the Other Issue on right hand turns and spending a LOT Of time looking at the Header, I realized that they were already at the limit on Height because of the 3-4 Primary tubes being bent back over themselves and the To achieve the turn. The Only thing I could come up with (Doing it next) is the cut 1/2 inch off of the 2-1 Pipe and the 1-2 & 3-4 Headers which will pull them in 1/2 inch which is a Lot when leaning over.
The Only reason I have not done it already is I will have to carefully remove the spring Tabs by cutting with a thin stone Cut off wheel and take it to Gebler headers and have it rewelded1/2 inch farther back.
Also when you raised the Back of the Pipe it does pull the 2-1 section back when the Bottom tube rotates backward. Since the Front dives more than the Rear under Braking the farther backward you make it the better the clearance.
Looking at the Pipe, this "IS" Something that can be done by Biasing the headers toward the Back which will decrease the Radius of the turns on the 2-1 Pipe which should allow it to be farther inboard.
Last, WHen I took my bike out for a test ride I heard the pipe the first time and that was also the last time. I have a small scrape and no more. At Maxton, we go straight at the first turn out and then in the Second shut down we make a Left "U" Turn and come back to the 1st turn out and then make a "Left" hand turn to leave the course
