October Texas Mile Who's In?
October Texas Mile Who's In?
My Bro and I will try to make it out on Saturday, I would recommend setting up at the far end (3/4 mile mark) to see people at speed when they come by, It makes it a little more interesting. I'll have a green 00 ZX-12 and my Bro will be running His gray and burgundy 00 Busa.
For those who have not been, here are the current 200MPH club members ( NO ZX-12s !!!!!!!!! ) And A list of safety requirements. I spoke with the Texas Mile people and they said that there would probably be no changes to the safety stuff.

I am going to try to make it to 200 on motor. If I can't do that I might spray it a little to put me over the top. Shouldn't take much.

I'm still planning on heading over after Biketoberfest. Charlie has his bike at a tuner trying to get a surging issue fixed. If it's a go..........I'm a go!
Hope it works out, I'm stoked.

Hope the surging issue can be found and ironed out. I'd like to see you all ride that 1507 as fast as Dave O?

I do think I have the damper problem solved. I've got a new rear tire and 19 tooth sprocket. I plan to make one more run at the drag strip tomorrow night, then convert the swingarm, sprocket, etc.

Ahh, it ain't gonna happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sure no DaveO in any form or fashion. Thanks for the support though.
Rest assured, I'll do my best. Personal goal of 209......both my boys have records at Maxton of 208+ on a n/a ZX12R and I'm tired of being the slowpoke of the family.
Look forward to seeing everone.

I heard Osti33 got his bike purring and Buddy has already flogged his numerous times at the track. Anyone else? My Motor is in the frame and a few odds and ends left. We had the Garage door down at JC's and the AC running as it was rather warm, raining and very humid. Our progress might have been slowed from the contact cleaner fumes!!!! Hoping to hear it run on Thursday, and maybe first ride early next week.

Good to have ya in Wideout!
Was over at JC's last night rolled the motor over to get the oil circulating. I slipped the new Muzzy pump in the tank, while JC did all the hard work, wiring/nos plumbing/mechanical stuff and we also slipped the Muzzy exhaust on. A few more odds and ends and I might hear her come to life on Friday for a few heat cycles. JC's neighbors aren't going to be too happy this weekend! Maybe a ride on Sunday?

Don't think there's much to eat or see in Berclaire, But if your flying in to Houston I am sure Karl could recommend some good old ShipChannel barnecle seafood place. One of your Northern cool fronts just blew in yesterday. Went from about low 90's to low 70's. Hope you can send us another one right before the event. Is the track at Eddyville still around and running. My dad use to take me there as a kid when we visited relatives in Oskaloosa.
