Tune-up Q

Closing in on 19000 miles...needs a tune-up, feelin' a wee bit 'flat' (or am I getting 'used to' the power?)...nah!!!it still 'scares' me...so...which plugs do I use?...stick with the stock ones or are there better ones (maybe not as expensive, too)...don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem spending for the factory recommended part, but is it the best part?...

The bike has a full muzzy ss/ti oval, k&n, pc3r w/muzzy-stock filter map, kleen air removed...I haven't messed with any other maps w/timing yet cause it looks like a daunting task for a computer illerate like me, but your sound advice and help would be most appreciated...

Thanks!

Nano

The factory plugs are the best plug. It's been my experience in both cars and bikes that use NGK plugs that nothing works better.

And see if you can get the map from Doug, it works great!

the right part...the best map?

Thanks, swft! ...

DougMeyer, por favor? ...I know its best to get the bike mapped on a dyno, but in the mean time, downloading a 'ball-park' map should be a good start, no?

cool!...I installed the ventura on my bike (its off now)...its a 'tight' fit (be very careful or you'll scratch something on the bike if you slip!)...sweet deal...I have 'ideas' on what I'd do with mine if I ever get a chance to get one...Five-Star, or should I say, Riderhaus aren't taking anymore new orders until they fulfill prior obligations and orders (well that sucks for me)...looks like you're set to go when we head for Laguna and points north...I'm jealous... ...looks like I'll send my stuff UPS next week to Discovery Bay ...I just hope I have a set-up come Laguna...

If I go on my trip to Sequoia National Forest, it will be Sunday to Tuesday, so you can have my Ventura for your trip on Wednesday...happy b-day.
