black plugs

I finally started the bike and rode for about a 30 mile ride. When I checked the plugs, they were black and wet. This all seemed to happen after I changed out the connecter from the alternator.Redid the splices to ensure good continuity.New plugs, changed out the coils and still its not getting a good spark.Any suggestions?

. are all the plugs black and wet.. if you have a pc or yosh box ,go back to stock to confirm it's not bad.dose the end of the exhaust look black.it should look light to dark brown.not wet black.
if you have a pc reload the map.i think they need to be refreshed every 3 to 6 months anyway.

Now all along,I'm thinking it is a spark problem but you're saying map?I only pulled one plug because right before I took the motor apart again, they were all black ,so I knew the problem was still there.

that much fuel in the engine cant be.... & never is good
there was a problem delineated a few years ago
with a sensor that could be connected in reverse

no less you only need the stock map
while the engine is new
& you are breaking it in
any other map is pointless & useless

try NOT to get caught up in the anxiety of
new parts.....!!! new engine.......!!!!!! & possibly unreal expectations

check.....double check & check again
good deliberate problem solving techniques is what you need now

i suspect is a nickle or dime problem
that could cost you if you dont find it......................& Soon !!!!

take those cover plates off the air box(safety glasses & extinguisher at the ready)
see if you can detect whats happening

try not running the engine any more than necessary
road tests are out until youi find your problem

good luck

The tuner just told me I have to put 50 miles on it for the new rings to seat before it goes on the dyno.I knocked it down 2 bars on each button on the usb.
I already had to learn about the tps switch and map sensor and double checked the manual while assembly. With 17/52 sprocket combo,I was running 5 grand on the highway to go even with traffic.I dropped the bike off tonight and they'll check the map tomorrow and also sync the tb's.This was doing the same thing before I blew the head gasket. At the track, once I did a burnout it would clear up going down the track.I didn't check any of the ecu outputs and was running out of time to say yea or nae on MIR.

FI lite was probably on, and i just didn't see it

The bike was on the stand and I started it with the airbox covers off. Ran like shit with a world of black smoke. Scared the shit outa me.
(another lesson learned )

Interesting thought if that was true, what would happen if NO2 was sprayed directly on it.I usually don't disconnect that sensor anyways.
