Oh by the way I forgot to mention that I'm newly joined on this site. I have been reading posts for over a year now and the information has been terrific so I wanted to finally join and offer my 2 cents. I ride an 05 12R that I purchased in 9/2005. The only mods to date are modified stock filters, 17 tooth crank sprocket, no catalytic converter and a few extra holes in the stock can. It runs very well in this configuration and still averages 29 mpg with my average speed of 100mph.

welcome dave. I would go and try some high speed runs on gps to verify with a lil more room for top speed. If I get a gps, and a clean strip Ill go out and try over this winter and will post the results, I have to be careful though, I cant get anymore 110 mph over the limit tickets again though, the sheriff is watching.
