*OT* no network
i just reformatted or re imaged one of my pc's. but now when i go under network connections i dont see an icon for LAN connection... what gives...

you probably have the wrong workgroup set up. beleive all windows PCs on a network have to use the same workgroup to see each other, and also permissins is a big issue. windows networking sucks as far as i'm concerned.
