Brake Advice Y'all

Time for new pads. I know alot of you run HH pads. Are they better than Kevlar? And most importantly, how noisy are the HH pads? My stock pads will lock up the front tire which is all the power I need but I will upgrade if it doesn't squeak and groan, etc.

I put on the EBC HH's along with Goodridge braided lines (carbo look). It made a big difference. They do make more noise than the stock pads, but nothing annoying. Kinda like a shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh when you brake.

I'm also running the HH pads. They make a noticeable improvement in braking ability.
But, I find them to be disturbingly loud.

Still, I'm using them and I like the better braking a lot.

These are only loud when the brakes are applied, right? And it's not like they squeal or anything, eh? Also, I go through this elaborate seating/break in procedure I picked up a few years back but have been told it's not necessary. Any suggestions?

When I first installed them, they were loud all the time. After a little while, they quieted down unless the brakes are applied. But even now with several thousand miles on them they sound like they are grinding if I push the bike around without the engine running.

Still, they make an awesome improvement in the braking and I'm not taking them off. I just hope they aren't eating my rotors.

I just remember how the sintered SBS pads on my ZX-11 used to squeal sometimes when applied. Hated that sound. I guess I will go with the all carbon pads and rotors.

My HH pads are lasting a long time.I bought a spare set when I put the last set on.Braking is much improved but they are louder but mine have never squealed. The goodridge -2 lines that I put on (Front and rear) make the brakes feel more responsive. If you buy goodridge get them from spencer cycle as mine fit perfectly. Some places are selling some that are too long.

12R pilot - Keep us posted on how the carbon ones work.
