OK, guys --- I want to go this year! Need some affordable leathers so they'll let me race on the track. I have a leather jacket - am thinking that some decent leather gloves and pants will put me in business. I'm on a pretty tight budget here. Any suggestions??

Will have to check into it. I was under the impression that if you pulled more than 120 mph through the traps you had to have "full" leather. Would hate to show up in blue jeans with leather jacket/gloves/boots and be told to get off the track!!

Im pretty positive that over 120 is full leathers. that is very standard any track you attend, well just about, I raced in London Ky, in sprinkles and saw a drunk put his beer down and go down the track.... well that is another story.. LOL.. I think the flyer also states that over 120 needs leathers.. I should go down in jeans one time and see what they say after a 150mph pass. LOL...

Well.... bottom line is that I really DO need to get some decent leathers to ride in. I've been happily riding all these years (30+) wearing blue jeans, leather jacket, helmet and boots (usually cowboy boots!). I'd say it's high time to get into some better riding gear!! Need suggestions --- don't really want one-piece roadracing leathers. Would prefer separate leather pants and jacket. Some recommendations on riding boots and gloves would be appreciated too. Don't know very much about that kind of stuff - about all I wear is jeans, t-shirts and cowboy boots! [Yes... I lived in Texas as a kid. ]
