Velocity Turbo gets EATEN by the Original Old Bear!

I was at Tarlton International Raceway Wedbesday the 9th of July when the "Jewel Box" Bear's First ZX12R Whupped the Velocity Turbo Busa with a 8.40 Pass against their 8.60 pass!! Add to that the rider new to the bike just got out of being in the Hospital for 2 weeks (He was shot in the Stomach) and rode Bears NOS Bike with no clutch lever and a Slider Clutch all Hand Made by Bear (Made for his Son Jan who also races but has 1 hand). Bear went to the Final where they ran a 8.75 against the KCR Turbo Busa that turned a 9.00 but they lost because the rider by now was really feling the pain and had a reaction time of 1.45! Please also understand that we all has been there since 8 AM and it was about 7PM (In the Dark) when this run took place.

For a reference point, the best run I saw by the Velocity Racing Turbo in this class (Top Bike Class) was an 8.13 . where the Bear NOS Bike ran 8.40 to 8.44 "ALL DAY LONG"!!!

The Turbo Bike made by Bears son JP (which is "NOT" the Muzzy Bike) Using a Special Clutch Pull Shaft Ran a "8.55" which was the fastest that "JP" has run to date. The Bike has a Best time of "8.12" during a day which it ran in the "Teens" all day long.

These times do not look that impressive until you factor in the 7,000 FEET Altitude they are all running!!!

I have Pictures of everything including the Jet Car Burning down a car

Last, I was not eaten by a Lion, but I was bitten on my shoe by a Cheetah I also have pictures of that along with every other kind of animal you want to talk about! (All on Bear's Game Preserve where I was treated no better than ROYALTY!) So from now on, just call me Bawanna )

Drag racing In SA

We do not have the traction that is in the USA ,a bike that runs 7.56@195 in the USA with 28pb boost and 450hp,can only manage 8.12@180 with 18pb boost and 350hp.As this is all the altertude and traction alows us.When Rickey Gadson was out here he tried to break in to the 7's but the best we could get was 8.01. With vincent here he saw how we have to gear the bike just to get it to launch front 16 rear 51.

So when we say that we ran 8.4@178 it is about .6 off what is would do in the usa at sea level

Thanks to all for the support and help, who knows soon we will set up an event where you can Race Africa first hand

HEEEE'S Back!! I go 1/2 the way around the world and have to wait until I fly Delta Airlines 200 miles from New York to get my bags lost!! I have the 2 important ones but still one is missing! We left SA on Monday about 8:30 PM and at 3:30 PM Tuesday Afternoon we are at Dulles Airport in Washington waiting until 10 PM for our bags which only 2 arrived! "F" Delta!

I am too tired to really go into the trip but Bergie, BEAR Personally handed me 2 choices of the 3 Ninja Shirt for you to choose from! I will send the pictures to you and you let me know which one you want. He appreciates your support! OldKawboy, Same for you!

Speaking for Drag Racing in SA, "I" SAW where Bear is building his own state of the Art Drag Strip in his own Back yard (About 5 Square MILEs Back Yard) Move over Cheetahs and others for the Racing to begin!

The bullets .had the cartridges the size of a WWII Machine Gun 50 Caliber Bullet but the Bullets were no more than a 32 Caliper piece. Both ends were the "Business Ends"

Even trhe Air Rifles looked Serious!

I will tell you this Karl, that List of Words made people fall out laughing hearing it out of my mouth with a mean nasty look on my face I just loaded all of the Pictures to my Computer and need to speak to Bergie because I still have to load everything at work where they have serious internet. I ended up with about 550 Pictures which can be pared down to about 350 to 400 and not lose much!.

My first Story is we are standing in the Immigration line at Joburg Airport and a Serious looking young Man official pulls Peggy and Myself out of the line and takes us to the Diplomatic window and takes our Passports. I am not sure that Pierre is in play here until he picks out bags off the turn table and puts them in a cart for us. I then KNOW that Pierre us up to hos old tricks! No lines for us we go through the Diplomatic line and out of the Airport. One neat small ting is the carts have a Notch so you can take them up the Escalators!!
