Gas Tank Removal
Has anyone every removed there gas tank off a 02 ZX-12r, if so, how? From relieving the fuel pressure prior to getting the fuel out to taking the tank off.

If its the same as an 01 just lift the tank on the hinge put some absorbent material under the supply line and gently let the fuel run till pressure subsides, remove the hinge bolt. Simple as!

while off,paint it black instead of that rediculous stock color,to match the frame.

the only problem might be the connectors underneath the tank. You have the insert a small screw driver to press the "lock" of the connectors. It took me sometime to find out how to disconnect these connectors.

Yep, planning on painting it black. Yeah I saw those connectors underneath the gas tank. Thanks for the insight guys!!!
