Actually the Brides family does sit in the Front Pews (I think on the left side) and the Grooms Family sit on the (Right) other side and friends of either side of the family sit behind them. AT least that is how I have always seen it  !
Doug Meyer, what you just said even makes sense to me! Maybe that is what I have been feeling all of these years in a few simple words! I felt the best for his dad because racing is not cheap and you know he had to help out a lot for his son to even get to a place where he was "Noticed"!
