check your front engine mounting bolts!

fuckers like to work their way loose. last year i returned from Laguna Seca to a leaking radiator, as the left bolt had backed out and punched a small hole in the rad. damn lucky it didnt start leaking till i was almost home. just now i'm putting on new headers (with the rad removed) and i discover the other one hanging in mid air and starting to rub a hole into my replacement rad. ARG! luckily it just started so no hole. next time you have the fairings off, everyone please check those bolts! torque spec is 33 ft lbs. i added some non-permanent thread locker this time (Loctite blue).

redneck ghetto style mechanicking yo!

madmike, perhaps, but the only people to touch mine has been my dealer, who are a single line (kaw) dealership and have a top notch reputation, so i would be surprised if they didnt torque them.

blueford, don't u see the breathing hole cut into the front of the fridge? open yer eyes man! besides, it aint a fridge, it's a smoker, dumbass!

YCIS, yeah it looks nice. howeve,r i failed to notice that the frame isnt very black. it's almost grey. maybe just a result of being bleached by the sun. plus the frame is somewhat metallic, whereas the paint i used is not. no time to repaint tho
