Gunner, i didn't realize the wheels where powder coated. I had mine powder coated and it seems to have alot more material on the wheel now then it did before powder coating.

I didn't until this week. I took a set of 636 wheels to be powdered black and was told by the powder coat guy that the factory also uses Powder for their process. It makes perfect sence actually. With powder there's NO dry time involved. Take it out of the oven and use it the same day as quick as the part cools. Start to finish in about an hour.

I apologize to you Countersteer.

I took offense to what you posted to Wormie in the "Batman Bike" thread and sort of vented here vs. there which I shouldn't have done.

I'll address my thoughts over there,

Countersteer, Blitz is pledging for the inter clique of Bikeland, you know, "the enemy of my friend is my enemy too, that sort of thing.

He's just trying to make points with Worm who has been mostly ignoring him.

He's a little bit of a kiss-ass but I'd give him a pass on this one.

Countersteer is a good guy and didn't mean to cross up in this thread. I can't speak for the other one because I haven't seen it. He has a damn nice 12R and that goes a long way in my book of good guys

zxlnt---from your pic, the rear pillion looks almost a carbon color like the side of the tank . Is that something other than black? I did mine in all black...I'm glad I did. If done correctly, they are sweet. After a few thousand miles, the powder on the top of the pegs starts to thin a bit. Makes since considering the majority are aluminum. Other than that, they look just as good after 15K miles.

Forks...way too much hassle. Considered the VHT caliper paint, but never followed thru.

FYI, it was cheaper for me to do the satin black than any custom color for obvious reasons...volume.
