Freek I have them done on my 12R and it's very tough. It should cost you like 75 to 100 bucks to have done. Satin Black looks OE perfect. Don't forget to take the plastic bushing out of the shifter lever. IT WILL MELT and you can't purchase it separate.

You can power anything that can stand 400 degree heat without fuckin up. Be careful about build up from the powder! It get's into everthing NOT plugged or taped up (special tape) It's a bitch to clean out of holes and threads. A little extra plugging and taping goes a long way. What bike do you have with a flat black frame?

Satin Black or Semi Gloss depending on what your guy calls it looks perfect. I put that on my 12 and my girls 636 and it's the right sheen on both.

I just got mine done at Mark's powercoat outside of Charleston. I got the black with the chrome glitter. Came out real nice. He did my whole system(Muzzy) Clutch cover Rear brackets for 160.00. Compared thet price to chrome it's real cheap. Better than paint it will not chip or come off as fast.

Just remember you gotta pull all the bearings before cooking the part.
I did the swingarm and both wheels on my A1 last year and they turned out phenomenal but all the bearings cost more than the powder coating.

I had my wheels and swing arm done as well. If you are carefull, you can get the bearings out of the wheels and even the ball bearings out of the swing arm. The needle beaing had to be replaced. If the mechanic have the right tools, some can be saved.

I removed mine because the powder coat guy said I should. He said the heat would could cook the bearings. At the time I was thinking that maybe it would be the grease that would cook and that would ruin the bearings. If you can clean all of the grease out, maybe you don't have to remove the bearings. I was just listening to the powder guy.

The temps melt the nylon collars of the roller bearings and the needle bearings have a plastic film around them that melts.
Additionally the bead blasting gets everywhere so no matter how well they tape the blasting media will get into the bearing and will destroy them (if not immediately shortly thereafter).
Thats what my powder coater (high volume shop) told me.
