Ok people, less than a month from now WE WILL BE @ THE GAP!!!

I'm ready to go right now!!! Whose still on the fence about this trip? For those of you who are, you're fucking yourself. Great times are to be had when all of us hooligans assemble. Awesome riding, and a great group of people to socialize with. (Except for Harry's punk ass  )
For those of you that have been there and experienced it all, no explanation is necessary. I'll see you all there.

dj, The crew and I (Otis,Harry, & Big Mike) will be in Alcoa Thursday night, but after that we are relocating to a cabin in Townsend. Closer to the riding, just like being at home almost. BBQ grill, porch swings, right on the Little River. Ahhhh, the thought of it all. Not to mention the fucking partying we will be doing. (yes, partying) I can't wait either, the first thing I'm gonna do when I get there is punch Harry right square in the mouth.

Ohh Yeah
If I can wrestle a few househunting / job-hunting leave days from the Navy, I might be there for a week! What a great "I'm getting the fuck out" present this will be! I had a great time with you guys last year and I'm pumped for this one. The guy that was with me last year (Slug - on his YZF600) has already gotten out and was so impressed with the area that he made it a requirement to live in the area and is now a semi-local. He lives around an hour or so away from the Gap and hopefully will have some primo handpicked backroads for us.
Did I mention I'm ready?

closer to 2 and a half hours unless i freeway it (thats no fun)
2 to knoxville...if i stay on 411 once i get to it
perhaps tomorow i will explore some more of the countryside near there, depends on what the group here is doing (if they are doing anything at all)
72 was nice, but looking at maps it may be patrolled. werekend through cherokee sucks, but weekdays might not be too bad.
then again thats why we follow glenn there....he'll light up the countryside if there is a radar within 5 miles....

Man too bad you can't make it. I know where you're at though. I usually take 2 or 3 bike trips a year, but I'm only gonna take this one Gap trip this year. (or atleast that's what I'm thinking right now ) I've got too many irons in the fire so to speak. I've got several little projects that I've started and yet to finish. I'm gonna try and get some of them finished, hell hopefully all of them. I've got other things I'd like to start on, but need to finish up the other projects first. I need some 36 hour days like Y2K mentioned one time.
I know I'll take plenty of pics, as will the others. I'll e-mail you some when I get back home.

Yeah....
But it is supposed to be pretty nice out tomorrow, maybe a tad windy but it's better than this crap.
Did you guys catch any of the severe weather the other night??? It didn't look good there for awhile. I was in Newbern at a friends house and the tornado sirens started wailing. I said uh oh, time to go. I was headed away from the storm on my way home, but it hit here shortly after I got home.

We just had a good rain here, I saw the watch, but the only thing we lost for awhile was Direct TV. I am glad the siren didn't go off here, we are only about 200 yds away from it.

well found some more awesome roads, but they are a long way from knoxville and area.
but wow, fun for all 
a few straight places to open it up, and the rest are curvy enough i had to turn cruise ocntrol off in truck and coast around (set at 60) or even apply brakes (a lot) to make it with minimal tire noises....
otherwsie weather is cold/warm so make sure you bring some warm stuff too
