Turbo 12 ??
Anyone running a boosted 12,,any pics floating around,, are they that much hard to do versus the busa,,??

Check with Doug Ray @ Spencer Cycles...he has done a turbo 12R and he can tell you all the advantages and disadvantages of going the Turbo route.

YCIS Your Car is Slow did a very nice Turbo also! Doug Ray is more like a Muzzy Factory and Brian's is more like what we can do with a lot of work!

I have one & I just posted over on the 14 side what happens when you run a 14 against a turbo 12, it isn't pretty to the 14 rider. Not really a fair race, but fun for the 12 rider - LOL! I do have pictures, but I don't know how to post them. Bike is 1270 Turbo slugs, T3/T4 hybred Garrett, 50 hp NOS dryshot, air shift with auto option - a very trick, very fast streetbike. I used a Yosh box to apply different fuel and timing maps for the torbo and turbo plus nos, but instead of using the toggle switch to change maps, I have a relay that changes maps when the NOS button is pushed, it really works great.
My only problem with this machine is that in heavy stop & go traffic, it runs hot, but otherwise, its way better than stock and I'm talking tractability. The powerband is supersweet in comparison to conventional hotrodded 12's I've ridden.

Well, w/out going into too much detail, I'm looking for 400+ RWHP (reliable) and going for 250 mph. Am I correct in saying yours has 300hp?
You selling the turbo, the bike, the motor, all? Price....?

yea...i just dunno...lost interest in the track and all that such...I still love bikes...but ive also come to the realization that I havent ridden the bus in 5 months (even sold it yesterday) and the 12 ive only ridden twice in like 2 years.
Why keep shit like that around when I could waste money on other toys =)

You have just found out what the most difficult thing to do in competition is! Having FUN! The more serious you become the harder it is to have fun. When you do not have to lift a Wrench and can go ride the wheels off the bike that is fun. I have had to take a step back from what I was doing and lower the time frame so that I could still enjoy what I was doing!
I also bought a ZRX 1100 which I did a lot of work on to begin with and have done nothing since and enjoy it more than any bike I have had for a long time!

I see the same thing. Some guys get so uptight, they split a gasket over triviality, and totally miss the fun of just being there, and competing. I guess they call that an 'A' type personality.

Sometimes bikes are the most fun when they are stock or near stock,I have seen alot of bikes and cars for that matter too that have been modified to the point where they arent fun any longer.I think sometimes its more fun to build a racebike than it is to race it! I like my stocker,it does double duty as a commuter bike and as a weekend warrior when I have time off.Right now I am more into perfecting my drag racing skills rather than working on that bike.

You always have to know "WHere" You are going before you leave home. A lot of people "Think" they want all the possible power it will make and then get upset when the bike over heats, Drinks fuel and does not run Smoothly! les can be more!
