Windscreen for tall drivers

Hi all,

I am a proud new Dutch owner of a black/gold 2002 ZX12R. I should have bought this bike some years ago! I just love the handling/power/style. But I do have one problem.

The previous owner installed MRA spoilerscreen. I am rather tall (6.3 ft) and when I drive at 86~93 miles per hour my head is exactly in the wind turbulence. Does anybody have an advice on what windscreen to use if the driver is tall? I have read some positive stories about the MRA racing screen

Use the standard screen i had a db screen fitted to mine i'm 6 ft and the handling/turbulence /windnoise was awful since reverting back to the standard item the bike is transformed.

I guess Kawasaki tested this bike in a wind tunnel!!!! If it was more aerodynamic with an aftermarket type screen they would have put one on!

Im 6'4 and the stock screen is terrible for me.. I bought a 2001 Zero gravity sport touring screen and custom cut it with a grinder and dremmel to make it work.. I did this 3 years ago works great.. (My bike is an 02) if you dont want to do that by a laminar lip..

But nobody has experiences with the MRA or Puig screens. I am sure there must be some more tall drivers on this forum

I've seen the Puig screens, They seem ok, but I like the Zero Gravity stuff better...

Zero Gravity Double Bubble sport touring for me too, clear. Look like a Grandpa but can see great! The wind does just hit you in the top third of the helmet though. Even if you could get something taller wouldn't it weigh on performance?

i use the puig double bubble in dark smoke- works great and its beautiful and a good fit- im a big tall guy (6'3")
i wont reccomend any other brand screen- but i prefer the stock screen.

I got the first ZG "sport-touring double-bubble" screen in mid-00'. It's optically correct (good view at redline in 6th), and I am very very happy with it...
