I'm gonna try my ZX-9 out Sunday
Weather permitting, I'm going to take the ZX-9R down to the dragstrip Sunday. I think that I'll be able to get it to run about like my old ZX-11 did. I am also hoping it doesn't try to spit me off like the ZX-12 used to try and do. I'm too old for that crap. Since I'm kinda large and have no hand speed on the clutch, I used to run high 11's@118 on the 11. That's what I'm shooting for with the 9.

Have Fun
You should get low 11's. The reason I say that is I ran my friends ZX-9 and got a 11.19 and lots of 11.20's and I weigh over 300 lbs with leathers etc.

You SHOULD get faster than 11's!! Most of the time I ran high 10's BONE stock on my 98 9R. Best pass was 10:59 BONE ASS STOCK No gears, pipe, lowering, NOTHING!! With a pipe and jet kit, it has run in the 10:30's (new owner) and I have seen plenty of them in the 9's with more work. I know Kent Kunitsugu ran 9:99 back at the introduction in late 97, that is why I bought it in the first place.

6'4", 340, NO big clangy steel cojones. I'll be happy if it doesn't spit me off.
