Yeah, last year I was ready to go by the time we got through the foothills. Missed a couple lines on the 1st trip through the Gap but nothing severe.

Well it's certainly not uncommon to have a bobble or two the first day. I'll never forget Harry dragging me into that left hander on the foothills!!! We'd be running a nice no brake clip and just enjoying ourselves, not really gassing it up on exit, just rolling on the gas a little. Then all of a sudden I realize Harry has done spurred ol' green and is MOVIN' on. So I give Lil' Red a big drink of 93 octane and here we go. I'm reeling Harry in a bit and have just about gotten things back to where our normal spacing is when we ride. But then suddenly as Harry tips it left I am closing WAY fast and at the same time realize Harry is sliding the front and the rear, and going wide. HOLY SHIT!!!!! I took a leap of faith and Lil' Red stuck the turn, and boy am I glad.
Harry and I often talk about that, it left a lasting impression.

That explains it, one day about 9 months after that photo was taken, I cranked Lil' Red up and she wasn't running right. Cuttin' out, smoking and whatnot. Revved her to the moon a couple times and a fuckin' monkey with the face of a rat came outta the exhaust pipe!!!!!
I tried to kill the little bastard, but it uttered the word fuckstick, flipped me a bird, and ran out of the garage never to be seen again!!!! I figured I'd keep that shit to myself, and thought it might have been that killer weed I was on at the time. But then again, I know what I saw and this explains it.
