asking price ?'s
Been thinkin of selling my 2000 red 12, it has 1270 kit, pc111, muzzy stainles w/ oval carbon can, scott's steering dampener, goodridge kevlar brake lines, RC components daytona wheels, pyramid plastics undertail, carbon ram air duct covers, muzzy three hole lowering links( not installed) also a schnitz front end strap. 3500mi. I know a stock one would be worth a realistic 7500 to 8000. Could i get 10k ? pretty scary considering i paid 11,500. and added about 7k worth of stuff.....

Realistically, you will get more out of the 12 by parting out the "extras" and selling the bike as a 1270. Most people will pay the same for a stock 12 as they would for one with mods. Doesn't seem right, does it? Might get lucky and find somebody that will swap motors plus some CASH for the 1270. Lot of hassle, though. You would be about the luckiest man on Earth to find someone who would be willing to pay you what the bike is actually worth!

Stock prices
Just watch ebay and you will see that brand new 00/01 bikes (0 miles) are selling for less than 7500, used bikes with low miles are selling for less than 7000. You are definitely better putting the bike back to stock and selling your add-ons on the side. The same is true with cars, if you mod a car (like my 95 Z28), you will get more interest and money out of it if the car was stock vs. "enhanced". I got more calls about if my car was stock when I was selling it then calls about the mods.
