Hey thanks guys, was a crazy weekend, started with me getting a hole in my radiator!!, so I almost got kicked out for the weekend!!, so I checked with Doug, and made sure it was ok to run dry, they told me it is ok but do NOT ride it around!! so I played dragbike all weekend and got pushed by the scooter up to the line and back from my runs, LOL.. went 8 rounds!! which was cool, got the cool trophy and a couple of hundy for my trouble, the bike was very, very consistant, but it ran off time of what I was guessing it would run, but it is my first race of the year and first time at the track, and I have a bunch of tuning to get at!! but my best pass in the 1/4 was a 9.43@148.5mph, and that was with a very poor 1.66 60', ok now dont be to hard on me it has been a long winter,oh and I weigh 230 in shorts now!! ARGH!! man I am on a serious diet right now! my last pass I had it down to a 1.61 short time and my 1/8 was 6.13@121mph, so that would have been my fastest ET, but I chopped not to break out! Worst light in eliminations .585! so and every pass were .45 .46 .47, so the bike did what it was supposed to, I cant wait to get to the dyno so I can dial that baby down! I see 9.0's coming in the very near future!! oh im geared for 4 right now, that will change and I think im real lean up top! dyno will tell! but it felt great to win my first National event! met a few guys and everyone was very cool! very nice to meet all of you! and in the 1/4 finals zrxdean lost his #2 cylinder, so bad day for him!! Tuesday night speedvision is supposed to air ALL of the finals??? so hopefully I will be on two wheel tuesday!!

Mike,
Man you looked great out there, our gang was pulling for you all the way.
It was good to meet you, things were hectic for us and I'm sorry not to hook up with you before it was over.
We'll get together next time.

I was cheering for ya Mike- way to go champ! Good to meet you finally too. What was the purse - $500?
I got in last night about 4am... completely spent from 3 solid days of Prostar - great weekend, despite the hurt motor. I will tear it down tonite and see how bad it is, but I think this might be my opportunity to get some oversize valves :O I know at least 4 will need to be replaced - the plug came out pretty mangled. Not a happy moment. I hope I can get it back together for the next SEMDRA race in 3 weeks - should be tight.
Speaking of SEMDRA - they treat racers MUCH BETTER there than at Prostar. I am pretty tolerant, but the lack of organization and general screw-you attitude of the Prostar staff really pissed me off. I am going to stick to the Gainesville Prostar races from now on - I don't need the extra stress. I wish there was better management at Prostar- it could easily be a top-notch outfit. Too bad.
Anyway, keep kickin' ass Mike.

$200 for the WINNER of the Street-ET class???!!??? There were at least 75 entries (100 maybe?) at $50 a pop - so Prostar takes 95% of the money. Pardon me, but fuck that. I know running an event is expensive, yadda yadda, but $200? Rrrrrrrr...

Good Job Mike. All those bikes and $200 to win? ProStar bites. They only care about the pro classes, and treat street ET like second class citizens. IDBA is no better. They can have 100 bikes in street ET and pay a lousy $100! About the only way to get any decent money is to get a drag bike, or run with the disadvantage and race the street bike against them. I was hoping to go to Indy this year, but I'll be going to a local race instead. It would be nice to see all the pro races, but it irks me the way they treat the backbone of bike racing, ET Street!

The money is in street racing.........so don't hate, participate!!! That is why you see grudge matches and other stuff at these races. Mad Mike, you could have won more money by having races lined up during practice and during elimination.......hmmmmmmmmm?! Every Busa wants to beat a zx12,,,,plenty of money races at each event!!!

Lot's of money in street racing. Only thing is it's all going into the bike. The guy with the most money usually wins in heads up racing, street or track.
