Times they are a changing
I have lived in the great city of Chicago for 22 of my 31 years on this planet, and it is now time for old man winter to start busting balls.
This morning it was nice to wake up to a brisk 35 degrees, and wonder if yesterday was the last time I am going to see the sun for 3 months (for those you who don't know the sun avoids casting any light or warmth on our city for the months of Nov., Dec., Jan., Feb., and sometimes March).
The good thing is that you naturally must find things to do with your time, and I begin to really buckle down at work.
The thoughts of evenings on the veranda sipping ice tea, and telling stories ends.
BUT
You focus on other items like work, family, and booking vacations.
I don't mind because the golf clubs get hidden and the bike is mothballed for the year (keeping the miles down), On the occasion that I should see the sun it becomes a emotional reward of times that past and wimful thoughts of things to come.
Anyway the fun is over for now, time to buckle down and make money. Because I have a very large wish list...
