BB Kit
OK...I know this is like beating a dead horse that's been buried and rotting....but.....
JE 1287 kit and Muzzy 1270. Beside the 17cc difference... Who has the better performance? I've heard that the 1270 has better rings, less friction and has consistantly put of a little more hp. Anyone out there with experience with both kits?

The important differance between the 1270[Wiseco] and the JE1287, is the compression ratio-13.5 to 1 vs.13.0to 1.The 17cc differance [less than 2% ] means nothing to a normally aspirated zx12.The half point more comp. is why the 1270 makes more power. Rings are the same thickness between the two--top=1mm, middle=1.2mm,oil ring=2.8mm.Save yourself some cash and send your block directly to Millenium Technologies and they will bore/replate it.They will fit it with either JE1287 or Wiseco1270-your choice.Millinium does Muzzy's boring& plating.

The Muzzy 1270 uses JE Blanks and Muzzy puts his own cut on them to utilize the thin 1mm rings.
