330cc Injectors
entropy and Y2K....
I added a recent post to Y2k's engine build thread re; the Stock 2000 injectors I just had serviced.
Chime in if you have any input...THANKS!

Looks as if the "Tollerance" Range on the injectors could be 310-330cc/min.

If we want to get technical..... 1 bar is 14.504 psi. Rounded off its 14 psi. Most OEM's and aftermarket test at 3 bars of gauge pressure. Or 4 bars absolute, instead of gauge pressure.
As we sit here we are breathing (approx) 1 bar of air pressure. Then put an additional 3 bars on top of that. So its absolute pressure is 4 bars or 58.016 psi.
But we don't want to make life too confusing so when we measure things like tire pressure, oil pressure, injector pressure etc. we just drop the 1st bar. It's just assumed you're on planet earth. But if you brought that tire with 32 psi on the gauge up on the shuttle and let it go in space the gauge would read 46.5 psi floating in space.
However, when tuning fuel injectors it becomes a big factor. The pressure differential plays a big part in total fuel flow. So for this reason your computer uses the barometric pressure sensor and the Manifold Absolute Pressure (there's that "Absolute" word again) sensor to calculate a correction factor in fuel delivery to account for the vacuum (or pressure in a turbo or supercharger application) so it can adjust the pulse width to correct the fuel delivery for the pressure differential that the injector will see.
So if your turbo adds 1 bar or 14.5 psi to the intake manifold then the nozzle of the injector sees that added pressure and will spray less fuel for the same pulse width signal sent to the injector because it has to overcome that added pressure. So it would be like testing the injector at only 2 bars or 29 psi and it would flow less fuel. Under a vacuum the flow will go up for a given pulse width because of the higher total pressure differential.
So if the pressure on each side of the injector was the same you would have no flow. Much like having 2 wires of the same phasing with the same voltage you would have no current flow.

Correct entropy, RC tests at 43 psi.
Thanks again Y2K!

Found this on the Busa board::
"WOW those S2000 injectors flow average of 389cc a minute @43psiMy test were done at 47.5psi thats why I came up with 354cc on the xxblackbird.O.K. to clear this up in a nut shell, here it is.#1 (BUSA, gsxr1000, RC racing 26lb 270cc injectors all flow the same)#2 (XXBlack bird flows 40-44 more cc's per min than busa injectors)#3 (S2000 flows 52 cc's more than the XX b bird, and a total of 94 cc's more than a busa injector) PROVIDED THE XX B BIRD INJECTOR WAS CLEAN NO BUILD UP INSIDE !By the way I did test all 4 of my XXb bird injectors all were within 1 %Those S2000 are going to let you turn up the boost a bit but you wil have one hell of a time tuning the low end."

RC cleaned and flow tested my 03 ZX-12R injectors..... came back 340cc according to RC.
