I Rode a ZX14 Yesterday

SOrt of glared at the MPG Gauge and clock and easy to get distracted. I got on the very last bike in line so I could really ride it a little. It was lower and wider than the 12 (More Busa Like) It did not feel more powerful than "MY" ZX12R before NOS. Looks easy to make an adapter to raise the Bars. The thing that was missing was the Idle Speed Lever so now that the bike knows it is cold it will raise it's own Idle! I cannot remember if it had an Outside Air Temp gauge but the gear indicator was good. I felt a little flat spot near 4,000 but pulled well from 2,000 up in 6th gear and hit the rev limiter in 1st once! (Under 11,000)
Rickey's 14 looks good because the Ribs are all the same color and Shiney like Kawasaki needs to do. Do not think I will want one the ZRX Still scares me more

I hear ya Vince.

I still find myself feeling for the fast idle switch on the new R1 (ain't there).

She just warms up and then idles down to where she wants to be.
