You have mail I have many detailed photos with highlights and text explaining each one. Just tell me where to send them.

Now! I believe you two have mail! I also enclosed my "report" on it's installation and performance. I hope it helps.

Salivusi - The twelve excels in outright straightline stability. However, that stablity is based on the front end staying firmly planted. Change your gearing, boost the engine power, and that formula changes. When I come out of the hairpin in second and roll on for the front straight at Pacific Raceway, the front end is in the air in second, third and fourth gear. The only reason it stays down is because I roll out of it! When I set it back down, I don't want to go into tank slappers at 170. Also, I've caught a few wheelies shifting into fourth at 140 or so, and the same issue applies.

Just a note,
Our current damper kit does not fit an '02. We'll will have a kit (almost same) model specific for the '02 in a couple of weeks.
Regarding the need for one..... There will be a moment, trust me on this, when you will know EXACTLY why you need one and moreover will wish very badly at that moment that you had one!

Exactly right, & a BIG Thank You Doug & the folks @ Muzzys.
Ever since I put my Muzzys dampener on, it has turned what I once thought of as a "pretty stable bike" into a even MORE stable bike! In fact, it must be THE most stable bike I've ever owned with the Muzzys dampener there. As you pass through those higher gears & redline shifts, it just goes man! No worries...
It does NOTHING funny @ speed. Bridge seams, fault lines, overcrossings, RR Tracks, etc., nothing upsets the bike now. Nothing! I'll sum it up with this: Its AWESOME & worth every penny...

Blackbird in need of damper My buddy has a blackbird and it does tankslappers sometimes when the front is really light , Does anyone make a damper for those? Doug? This thread is cool, I always wondered how a bike that should be so stable is not at times.

attn Doug muzzy damper and front end straps I like many others use a snitz strap to pull the front end down when dragracing. I run the strap over the frame behind the steering head which appears from the pictures of the Muzzy damper to be right where the damper is mounted. Will the damper interfere with a strap?

I think the strap will go under the dampper mount arms.
