Wheelbase

Yes, I think so. When the 12 is lowered the swingarm angle changes ever so slightly. ie The swingarm angle becomes flatter with the horizon as the frame drops in relation to the swingarm pivot point. Since the swingarm pivot point is fixed in the frame, as the swingarm becomes ever so slightly flatter or horizontal the wheelbase will lengthen. If you are thinking about a WB drag class leave a little breathing room. If the wheelbase is measured with the rider in place it will measure fractions longer also than if the rider is off. That's one reason why the chain slack is set with the suspension unloaded so as to not tighten up with suspension movements/slight wheelbase changes as the suspension moves.

Sliding the forks up or strapping them will subtract a little wheelbase.

So what size arm should I go with to get 68 inches? I was thinking about just getting an 8-11 inch arm from mcintosh

if you had the choice i wouldn't go more than 8 inch over(loss of traction) and then get a couple more inches by raking the front
