Anybody wanna buy a Ducati 996?
I was riding by the local Chevrolet dealer today when I spotted a yellow Ducati 996 monoposto on the used car lot. I stopped to look it over, it is sweet!! It's a 1999 model with 7500 miles. It has lots of Fast by Ferracci parts including carbon cans and clip ons. Anyway, they have no idea what they have there. There were asking me things like: "That thing's made in Italy isn't it?" and "Is that supposed to be a nice bike?". They even let me take it out for a spin...I rode it about 50 miles and it is one SWEET ride!!  They said they were asking $10,800 for it but that winter is coming and they would make me a super deal on it. Knowing this particular lot and how they mark things up an unbelievable amount, I would think you might be able to get it for $9000. I would sure offer them that at any rate to see if they would bite.
I'd love to have it, but I took it by and showed my wife...she said, "You can get it if you want it....but you can't have it and me too".  She's still a bit shook up from my big wreck a couple of months ago.
Anyway, that sounds like a steal to me, so I thought I'd see if anyone here might be interested in it. It's a sweet bike and I'd like to see someone I know take it home and enjoy it.
The Dealer is Dutch Miller Chevrolet in Huntington WV. Call directory assistance if you want the number. It's on the used car lot.

Ducati's are nice but they require a lot of maintenance.I rode an 851 Superbike once .It was fast,handled great , and wheelied pretty good too!
