rear fender
Anybody know where you can get a nice rear fender for the zx12r without a chain guard. It's got to be tight too, somehing like whats on the R1.

I have a rear fender if you need one, or do you want the fender eliminator kit. hmmmm... Id go with the kit the rear fender on an R1 will not fit on the 12 and if it does it will not be tight. if you tighten it to much you will crack the plastic, so be careful! and to make sure your tight real tight you need to put some locktite on your stuff.......

rear fender
I think what he means is he WANTS a rear fender/hugger that Looks like the rear fender/hugger on an R1 without the Chain guard.
When he says "TIGHT" he means "LOOKS NICE/GOOD"
The R1's hugger is short and it attaches to the swingarm brace.
MadMike, what type of fender/hugger do you have and how much?

rear fender
Thanks guys, I had it all wrong. I meant hugger. The plastic that covers the rear wheel and keeps dirt off the rear shock and backside of the engine. I've seen some that are chain guards and huggers all in one and I'm not crazy about them, too bulky looking. Tight did mean cool, like on the R1 those are sharp (not like a knife, i mean good looking ).
Any Ideas, and I was wondering about slip-ons for the 12.
Good? Bad? Any ideas from the crowd here? Thanks for feedback, I'm a rookie here.

...my HANS hugger/guard combo is bad...which means its good ...it could be badder if the part forward of the rear tire followed the radius of the tire below the swingarm, but we can't have it all now can we?...it'll be difficult finding a hugger-only type because there isn't a place to mount the hugger-only...which is bad, I guess...as in not good for you

Baum99,
I think you should think twice about the fender/chain guard combo, I think it looks very good and it's not bulky at all.
